These Terms of Service govern the use of the CHADS SERVIVCES, INC website and the property maintenance and small repair services offered by the company. By using this website, by calling the dispatch desk, or by requesting a service visit, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
The company is registered as CHADS SERVIVCES, INC at 171 E Monticello Dr, Kaysville - 84037-2804, United States (US). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website or request services.
Definitions
In these terms, the words the Company, we, us and our refer to CHADS SERVIVCES, INC. The words you and customer refer to the person who requests a service visit or uses the website. The word website refers to the pages published at the company address, including the homepage, the services page, the contact page, the privacy policy and these terms.
The word services refers to the property maintenance and small repair work the company performs, which currently includes handyman visits, door and lock service, drywall patching, fixture swaps, gutter clearing and seasonal checkups. The word visit refers to a scheduled trip by a technician to a property. The word ticket refers to the written record of a requested or completed visit.
Services We Provide
The Company provides general property maintenance and small repair services to homes, small businesses and managed rental units. The six standing service lines are described on the services page and are incorporated into these terms by reference. Each service line is performed by a technician who follows a checklist and leaves a written note describing the work.
We reserve the right to decline a request that falls outside our scope, that presents an unreasonable safety risk, or that we cannot perform to our standard. When we decline, we will tell you early and, where possible, point you toward the correct trade or professional.
The services are intended for routine maintenance and small repairs. They are not a substitute for a licensed inspection, an engineering assessment, or the work of a licensed electrician, plumber, gas fitter or structural contractor.
Service Requests and Scheduling
You may request a visit by calling the dispatch desk at +19718128732, by writing to service@chadsservices.buzz, or by using the contact form on this website. A request becomes a booking when the Company confirms an arrival window. Verbal estimates and informal messages do not create a binding booking until the window is confirmed.
Arrival windows are given in good faith and are based on the information available at the time. Traffic, weather, an earlier job that runs longer than expected, or a discovery at the property can shift a window. We will contact you if a delay is significant, and we will reschedule promptly if a window can no longer be met.
It is your responsibility to provide accurate information about the property, the problem and any access requirements. Incomplete or inaccurate information may require a second visit, which could affect the scope and the cost of the work.
Pricing and Estimates
Prices for services are based on the scope of work, the parts required, and the time a job is expected to take. The dispatch desk will give you an estimate in advance whenever the scope can be determined from the information you provide. An estimate is a reasonable projection, not a fixed price, unless we state in writing that it is fixed.
If a technician discovers that the actual condition of the property differs materially from what was described, we will stop and consult you before proceeding. We will explain the options, provide an updated estimate, and wait for your approval before we continue. We do not perform chargeable work beyond the agreed scope without your consent.
Parts and materials are supplied at a fair market rate. Where a special order part is required, we will tell you before ordering it and explain any lead time that applies.
Payment Terms
Payment for completed work is due as stated on the ticket or invoice provided at the end of the visit, unless a separate written arrangement has been agreed. We accept the payment methods described by the dispatch desk at the time of booking. A returned or failed payment may incur a reasonable administrative fee where the law permits.
Where a property manager or business customer maintains an account, payment terms may be set out in a separate agreement that supplements these terms. In the absence of such an agreement, the standard payment terms apply.
We reserve the right to pause work on an account that is significantly overdue, and to recover reasonable costs associated with collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent the law allows.
Property Access and Preparation
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the areas where work is to be performed. This includes access to the property at the confirmed arrival window, access to any utility shut off that may be required, and the removal of personal items that could obstruct the work or be damaged.
If a technician cannot access the property or a required area, the visit may be treated as a completed call and a reasonable fee may apply for the time and travel involved. If pets are present, please secure them so that the technician can work without distraction or risk.
You confirm that you are authorized to request work on the property. If you are a tenant, you confirm that you have the permission of the property owner or manager, or that the requested work falls within your rights as a tenant under applicable law.
Scope Limits and Licensed Trades
The Company performs routine maintenance and small repairs only. Certain work must be performed by a licensed professional, and we will not perform it. Examples include work on gas lines and gas appliances, major electrical work such as new circuits or panel changes, structural modifications, and work that requires a permit or an inspection by a public authority.
When a requested task touches on work that requires a licensed trade, we will explain the limitation and refer you to an appropriate professional. Any referral is provided as a courtesy and does not make the Company responsible for the work or the pricing of the referred professional.
Where a repair depends on a condition that we cannot correct within our scope, we will document what we observed and recommend the correct next step. We will not conceal a limitation in order to appear to have solved a problem we could not fully address.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, for granting access, for securing valuables and fragile items in the work area, and for informing us of any known hazard at the property. A hazard could include a fragile surface, a hidden wire, a loose railing, a slippery floor or an aggressive animal.
You are responsible for obtaining any approval that your lease, your homeowner association or your local authority requires before the work begins. The Company is not responsible for a delay or a dispute that arises because a required approval was not obtained.
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt it, to gain unauthorized access to it, or to use it in a way that harms the Company or another person.
Workmanship and Limited Warranty
We stand behind the work we perform. If a repair we completed fails because of our workmanship within a reasonable period after the visit, we will return and correct it. To request a correction, contact the dispatch desk and describe the problem. We may ask for a photograph to help us prepare for the return visit.
This workmanship commitment does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, a new unrelated condition, normal wear, movement of the building, or work performed by another party after our visit. It also does not cover parts and materials that carry their own manufacturer warranty, which we will help you pursue where possible.
Except for this workmanship commitment, the services are provided without additional warranties, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties, so part of this section may not apply to you.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting the dispatch desk. We ask for as much notice as possible so that the time can be offered to another customer. A cancellation made with reasonable notice is handled without charge.
A cancellation made at short notice, or a missed appointment where access was not available, may incur a reasonable fee to cover the travel and the reserved time. Any such fee will be explained to you before it is applied.
The Company may reschedule a visit because of weather, an emergency, a safety concern or the illness of a technician. When we reschedule, we will offer the earliest reasonable alternative window and we will not charge a cancellation fee.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of the website or from the services, including lost profits, lost opportunity or loss of data. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is brought.
Where the law does not permit a full exclusion of liability, the total liability of the Company for a claim relating to a service visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limitation is prohibited.
The Company is not responsible for pre existing conditions at a property that were not disclosed and could not reasonably have been discovered during a routine visit. We document what we find, and we recommend further inspection where a condition warrants it.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees and technicians from any claim, loss, damage or expense arising from your breach of these terms, from inaccurate information you provided, or from your failure to obtain a required approval or to disclose a known hazard.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent that a claim arises from the negligence or willful misconduct of the Company. It is intended to place responsibility where it belongs, not to shift blame for our own errors.
Website Use and Content
The website is provided for information and for requesting services. We work to keep the information on the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every page is free of error or that the site will always be available without interruption.
Descriptions of services on the website are provided as a general guide. The specific scope of any visit is determined by the information you provide and by the confirmation issued by the dispatch desk. Nothing on the website is a binding offer to perform work at a particular price.
We may update, suspend or remove any part of the website at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss that results from a change to the site or from a period when the site is unavailable.
Intellectual Property
The text, layout, styling and imagery on this website belong to the Company or are used with permission. You may view the site and print a reasonable number of pages for your own reference. You may not copy, republish or redistribute the content for commercial purposes without written permission.
The company name, the service descriptions and the visual design of the site are protected as the property of the Company. A reference to a third party product or brand, if any appears, is made for identification only and does not imply a partnership or an endorsement.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a dispute arises, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve it through good faith discussion before pursuing any other remedy.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through discussion, it will be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of Utah, unless a mandatory provision of law requires otherwise. Each party waives any objection to venue in that jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force. The failure of the Company to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive its right to enforce that provision on another occasion.
Materials and Supplier Items
Fixtures, latches, patch panels, gutter sections and other materials used on a visit are supplied through regional building suppliers, and the practice selects stock lines that match the age and finish of the property whenever the invoice allows a choice. Client supplied materials are welcome, and the crew installs them at the standard labor rate once a visual check confirms the part is undamaged and suited to the job. Title in supplied materials passes on installation, and unused stock returns to the van at the end of the visit without a restocking line on the invoice.
If a supplier backorder delays a specific part, the office offers the closest stocked equivalent or holds the remaining work until the part arrives, whichever the client prefers. Substitutions are noted on the job ticket so the record matches what was actually fitted.
Weather and Access Delays
Northern Utah winters occasionally close canyon roads and coating work waits out subzero mornings. When weather or unsafe access moves a visit, the office rebooks at the next opening without a cancellation charge, and gutter clearing scheduled during a storm is automatically moved to the first dry window. Clients who cannot provide safe ladder access on the day may reschedule the exterior portion without penalty, and the crew notes any standing water or ice on the ticket before work begins.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, in our practices, or in the law. When we make a material change, we will update this page and, where appropriate, provide a notice on the website. The revised terms take effect when they are posted.
Your continued use of the website or request for services after a revision means that you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the website and contact the dispatch desk to discuss any active booking.
